Dear friends,

Baby Life Rescue CentreIt has been so hard to understand why a person should throw or abandon a baby an act which so inhuman, and yet there others who are longing or wishing, crying for or praying to God to give them a child.

Recently there very sad news which was highlighted by the media that in one of the villages in kilifi -Mombasa a new born baby was thrown in the bush and later rescued from deadly jaws of a dog. She was named Baby Malaika (Angel) in the hospital her face had number of stitches and sad to say her right hand was amputated because it was badly mauled by the dog. The good news from the doctor is her life is stable and out of danger.

With our work experience this was our very first time to receive a baby less the five hours old. A health male baby weighting 3kg was born in a early morning hours. He was nicely wrapped and place by stairs in our neighbourhood. A volunteer children officer alert us about 7 am, we took the new born for doctor’s check up and was found to be in a good condition. He is now two weeks old.

If you remember in our February 2011 news letter, we wrote about a new born baby who was rescued from a 20ft toilet, well, this is now Edwin riding on his month’s back. We admitted him at Baby Life Rescue Centre when he was three weeks old and left the centre at the age of ten months. In January he celebrated his first birth with his new parents.
